Get tax credits for energy improvements (from Bankrate)

Submitted by on December 15, 2005 – 7:39 pm2 Comments

Bankrate.com has been useful in the past for checking out national and local rates on a number of different accounts (I used their comparison tools before taking on a mortgage). While going through their site today, I found an article on their front page that was like an early holiday present. “Get tax credits for energy improvements

First line:

“If the thought of rising energy bills has you rushing out to buy insulation, hold off until after Jan. 1, 2006, when the recently enacted Energy Tax Incentives Act of 2005 kicks in.”

Granted, I’m not sure yet if my recent compact fluorescent bulb conversion would’ve resulted in a credit, but the links and info in this article is def worth the read.
