NY HFA: Landlord One Loan Program

Submitted by on December 4, 2006 – 2:00 amNo Comment

Every once in a while I’ll search Windows Live or google.com with the search terms people are using to find Small Time Landlord (aka http://building.wordpress.com). In some cases, the searches come up with some pretty cool results.

The most recent search term that WordPress (the CMS package that Small Time Landlord is run on) harvested was “how to be a nyc small building landlord.” My first thought was that if a site like that existed, I’d be reading it daily. Second thought – I wonder what other results similar search terms returned on Live.com and google.

Result: NYHomes.org write up of the NY Housing Finance Agency’s Landlord One Loan Program. “The Landlord One Loan Program, sponsored by the New York State Housing Finance Agency and administered by the Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City, offers low interest rate loans to owners of properties consisting of 5-20 units. The loans are used to repair and/or renovate apartments to keep properties in habitable condition.” While this doesn’t help me any, they also have loans designed for owners of 2-4 unit buildings as well as training classes (cost: $100)
