Occasionally, when looking through take out menu prices, some things just don’t seem to add up. An example would be “Lite Bites” which charges $6.25 for a “Western Burger.”<\/p>\n
The Western burger is their $3.95 burger with:<\/p>\n
Instead of taking the Western burger, people can get the regular burger with the 75\u00c2\u00a2 slice of cheese and $1.25 bacon strips\u00c2\u00a0with a free side of BBQ sauce for $5.95. I had no idea the additional costs behind naming a burger…<\/p>\n
Today, I was told that Ham and Pineapple chunks were speciality pizza topping items. I was looking to place an order off\u00c2\u00a0the menu for Gino’s Pizzeria & Restaurant when I noticed that single toppings seemed to be $2.00 each for an 18 inch pie. Looking down at their Hawaiian pizza (ham\u00c2\u00a0+ pineapple), the price was $18.00.<\/p>\n
I called just to see if I was doing my math right.<\/p>\n
Me: How much is each topping on a pizza?
\nThem: $2.00
\nMe: What’s on a Hawaiian pizza?
\nThem: Ham, pineapple, cheese, no sauce.
\nMe: Shouldn’t that be just $4 more than your $11.00 cheese pie? What if I just ordered a cheese pie with ham and pineapple.
\nThem: Hawaiian pizza has specialty ingredients and would still be $18.00.
\nMe: I had no idea ham and pineapple were specialty ingredients, I’ll try somewhere else, thanks.<\/p>\n
Boston Pizza – just down the street, charges $2.00 for any topping you want to put on their large pie ($10.99). I’m ordering from Boston tonight.. =)<\/p>\n
