{"id":70,"date":"2006-03-05T22:04:45","date_gmt":"2006-03-06T03:04:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/building.wordpress.com\/2006\/03\/05\/choosing-a-new-energy-supplier-pt-2\/"},"modified":"2006-03-05T22:04:45","modified_gmt":"2006-03-06T03:04:45","slug":"choosing-a-new-energy-supplier-pt-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.smalltimelandlord.net\/?p=70","title":{"rendered":"Choosing a new Energy Supplier (pt. 2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shortly after sending out my <a href=\"http:\/\/building.wordpress.com\/2006\/01\/25\/choosing-a-new-energy-supplier-in-nyc\/\" title=\"Small Time Landlord - Choosing a new energy supplier in NYC\">initial email<\/a> to the energy suppliers listed on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poweryourway.com\/\" title=\"Power Your Way\">poweryourway.com<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0I landed a <a href=\"http:\/\/building.wordpress.com\/2006\/01\/13\/what-happened\/\" title=\"Small Time Landlord - What happened\">new job<\/a> and this project fell off the table for a little bit.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I should&#8217;ve known that it\u00c2\u00a0would\u00c2\u00a0only be a matter of time before ConEd caused this\u00c2\u00a0topic to came up again. This time, their automatic payment program didn&#8217;t draw funds for last months bills, resulting in a decent sized gas\/energy bill for this month. Strangely enough, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.energysavings.com\/NY\/home.htm\" title=\"U.S. Energy Savings Corp\"><font color=\"#909d73\">U.S. Energy Savings Corp.<\/font><\/a> sent me an email this morning with their current rates.<\/p>\n<p>While Con Ed is charging me 22.36\u00c2\u00a2 for the first 250\u00c2\u00a0kilawatt hours and 21.9333\u00c2\u00a2 for the next 60 KWHs, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.energysavings.com\/NY\/home.htm\" title=\"U.S. Energy Savings Corp\"><font color=\"#909d73\">U.S. Energy Savings Corp.<\/font><\/a>\u00c2\u00a0charges a flat rate of 13\u00c2\u00a2 per KWH of electricity used (however, they do have you sign a 4-5 year contract).\u00c2\u00a0So I\u00c2\u00a0called in and asked for\u00c2\u00a0the paperwork required to sign up.
