The DEP actually sent someone out here on the 30th to confirm that the remote was not hooked up, since then I&#8217;ve received one voice mail from a woman never at her desk. Until I hear back, Con Ed and DEP agents will just have to use a mirror to take a water meter reading (the afore-referenced monkeys also positioned the water meter behind a wall).<\/p>\n<p>* A water meter remote allows the DEP or ConEd to check the water meter from outside the building by just swiping a device in front of a small panel mounted on a building&#8217;s exterior.
