After two years of talking about this, a year and a half of passively looking at places, 5 months to find a buyer for another property, 2 months in negotiations trying to get this property, and three hours at the closing table — it’s over. <\/p>\n
As of about 6:15 p.m. today I own a piece of New York City… <\/p>\n
Changed the locks temporarily — until I get a locksmith in to install something better.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow begins the process of changing everything over & updating my address with credit card companies, investment institutions, banks, drivers license, passports, utilities and services, online storefronts, magazine subscriptions… basically anyone that has this address needs to be informed of the new one… which could take all day to do. <\/p>\n
